Southgate is an area in the London Borough of Enfield. It is a suburban development situated 8.6 miles (13.8 km) north of Charing Cross. Within the area is the famous circular Southgate tube station and a variety of shops and restaurants. It also has several large green parks such as Grovelands Park with lakes and sports facilities.
